Football Games You Can Play on Your Own
Not every game needs someone on the other side. Several of the modes here run solo, so you can open one and start immediately instead of waiting for a match. There is no timer pressure from a rival and no lobby to fill.
Games built to work alone
The Scout gives you a footballer clue by clue until you name them. Who's the Player narrows a mystery player down by attributes. Tenaball asks for a top ten from memory. Football Bingo hands you a card and forty players to place. Each one is the same game as the multiplayer version, minus the opponent.
No waiting for anyone
Matchmaking is quick, but it is still someone else's schedule. Solo starts the moment you click, which matters more than it sounds when you have five minutes rather than an evening.
Somewhere to get your reps in
Solo is also where you learn a mode before playing it against people. You find out how the clues escalate in The Scout, or how quickly a Bingo card fills up, without losing a real match while you work it out.
One puzzle a day, if you prefer
The daily football quiz is single player too, but it is one shared footballer per day for everybody rather than an endless run. If you want something to come back to each morning rather than play in a block, that is the one.
